The unit worked great under extreme weather conditions in a very remote location. Despite concerns that our location in the Greenland icecap was too far north for the BGAN to hit the satellite (N 65 degrees, W 40 degress), it reliably connected each time we used it. The BGAN worked in dense fog, heavy cloud cover and constant rain, dropping out only once or twice. We placed the unit in a clear, waterproof bag to ensure that it would not get wet, and this solution worked very well. Overall, I am very happy with the performance of the BGAN unit. Here are a few photos showing the base camp where we set up the BGAN unit.
